Dr. Marsha Kubica
Dr. Marsha Kubica is a native of Omaha and an alumnus of Burke High School and Kearney State College. She is a graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago and returned home to practice optometry in Omaha. Marsha has been the owner of Omaha Primary Eye Care since 1998.
Dr. K is the first stop for her patient’s eye care needs. She will counsel you on all vision correction options available – including contact lenses, refractive surgery, sports appropriate eye wear, and many of the new options that are emerging on the market. She also focuses on the health of your eyes and the treatment and prevention of eye disease.
Dr. Kubica is a member of The Nebraska Optometric Association and The American Optometric Association, Sports Vision Section and Contact Lens Section. Marsha is involved in the community through Rotary Club, The Western Douglas County Chamber of Commerce, and Bethany Lutheran Church.
Outside of the office, Dr. Kubica is a busy mom to three wonderful kids. With three sets of sports and music events to coordinate, there is always something to do, see and plan for the next Kubica activity. Dr. K fancies herself a better-than-average photographer and vows to catch up on her kid’s scrap books before they are off to college.
Dr. Corey Langford
Dr. Corey Langford started wearing glasses in first grade after his mother noticed him closing one eye to read – a common coping mechanism for kids with double vision. Many trips to the optometrist throughout his life led Dr. Langford to pursue a career in the field after graduating from Beatrice High School and earning a degree in chemistry from The University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Dr. Langford graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. After graduation, Dr. Langford completed an optional year of training with ophthalmologic specialists in Philadelphia.
Corey and his wife moved to Omaha in 2002 and took over Graves Vision Clinic, which became Omaha Eye Care. In 2008 Dr. Langford merged his practice with Omaha Primary Eye Care. Dr. Langford is heavily involved in The Nebraska Optometric Association. He was awarded the 2009 Nebraska Young Optometrist of the Year and served as the association’s president in 2012. Dr. Langford continues to stay actively involved on the legislative side of Nebraska optometry with the goal of improving access to full scope optometric care for all Nebraskans.
Dr. Langford spends the majority of his free-time with his wife and 4 children. Corey is also a member of the leadership team of Band of Brothers, a men’s ministry founded at King of King’s Lutheran Church. His hobbies include hiking fourteen thousand foot mountains and cheering on his beloved Chicago Cubs.
Dr. Johnson was born and raised in Omaha, NE, where she attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic School and Marian High School. After high school, Dr. Johnson received a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Creighton University. She went on to complete her Optometry degree at Pacific University in Oregon. After graduating from Pacific University, Dr. Johnson practiced for 2 years in Maine.
Mark, Office Manager
Mark has been Controller/Office Manager since 2003. He has over 25 years of corporate experience which has provided him a strong background in finance and business management. He is responsible for Human Resource, Finance and Accounting as well as Operations.
Mark was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and is a Chicago sports fan. His high School Lane Technical was right down Addison Street from Wrigley Field. Mark and his wife, Dr. Marsha Kubica have three children, two are attending the University of Kansas and one is attending Millard North high school.
In his Free time Mark enjoys bicycling and has volunteered and supported Rails to Trails. Mark also enjoys traveling to college football games with his son and spending time with his wife and daughters. The family has two dogs Buddy a yellow lab and Sheldon a Cavachon.
Susie, ABOC – Optical Manager
Susie joined Omaha Primary Eye Care as an optician in 2008 and her leadership skills have led her to a position as optical manager. Susie has been a practicing optician for 20 years and has passed the gold standard of testing for opticians, the ABOC. Susie also serves as our office Vision Source Representative, a position that allows for networking and idea sharing with other Vision Source offices across the country.
Susie and her husband, Loren, are members of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church where she volunteers with the Care Call Ministry. Most importantly, they are Nanee and Grandpa to eight wonderful grandchildren.
Amy, ABOC, CPO – Lead Ophthalmic Technician
Amy joined Omaha Primary Eye Care as the Lead Ophthalmic Technician in 2016 and has 26 years of optometry experience. She specialized in working with children for 20 years. Amy has her ABOC, CPO and is working towards her CPOA.
When not working she is very involved with her church’s youth ministry. Amy also enjoys being creative, such as party planning, making jewelry, scrap-booking, and making invitations.
Brittney , CPO – Ophthalmic Technician
Brittney joined our team in September 2016 and has been in the Optometry field for four years now. She has her CPO and will soon be taking her CPOA.
She is originally from Boise, ID and recently married. She has 2 cats which are her children and loves to read, do yoga, and travel.
Traci – Ophthalmic Technician
Traci is originally from small town Iowa and joined our team October 2017. She has worked in healthcare for the majority of her career.
Traci enjoys the outdoors – hiking, running, and biking with friends. She is involved with church and loves animals. Anytime there is an opportunity, Traci also loves travelling to the ocean.
Rachal W., CPO – Ophthalmic Technician
Rachal joined our team in December 2016.
She has over 10 years of customer service experience and received her CPO in November 2017.
Rachal is recently married with a blended family of 4 boys and a cat. She is involved with her church and is also part of the worship team. When not working, Rachal enjoy’s cooking, spending time with family, and playing music.
Rachel H., CPO, CPO-A – Ophthalmic Technician
Rachel joined Omaha Primary Eye Care in March 2017. She first began working in a small optometric practice in Wahoo 4 years ago, and quickly became fascinated with the human eye and mechanics of sight. She received her CPO in February of 2015 and her CPO-A November 2017.
Rachel is enthusiastic about travel and has visited 5 continents in the past 8 years. Here at home, she is heavily involved with her church’s music ministry and enjoys playing and writing music and coaching new musicians. In her spare time she loves being outside in the sunshine or snuggling with her cat, Toothless.
Tina, ABOC – Optician
Tina joined Omaha Primary Eye Care in 2014 as an Optician. She has over 16 years of experience in the Optical field and has been ABO certified since 2002.
Tina is married with one daughter and enjoys helping out in her daughter’s classroom. She loves spending time with her family which also includes her two dogs, a yorkie and german shepherd. One of Tina’s hobbies is scrapbooking and she loves anything Disney.
Erica – Optician
Erica has been working in health care for the past three years and joined our team in April 2017.
Erica is originally from Seattle, Washington and loves spending time with family and friends. One of her favorite past times is exploring Fontenelle Forest.
Jamie R – Receptionist
Jamie joined our team in September of 2017. Her other work experiences include teaching pre-school,
sales and customer service.
She is originally from South Dakota and has
lived in Omaha for nearly 15 years.
Jamie loves spending time with her teenage son, friends and family. She also enjoys cooking, reading, listening to live music and taking road trips.
Becky – Receptionist
Becky joined our staff December 2016 as Front Desk Receptionist.
She has over 20 years customer service experience and enjoys working with people.
She is originally from South Dakota and moved to Omaha in 2005. In her free time she enjoys riding motorcycle with her husband and spending time with family.
