Dr. Lexye Bruegman, O.D.

Lexye Bruegman was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska- insert
first ‘Go Big Red!’ statement here. She completed her
undergraduate biochemistry degree in Seward, NE; and pursued
her optometric graduate degree in Chicago, IL.

When asked why she became an Optometrist, her answer was
simple: to help others. Beyond that fact, to help them with one of
their most important senses- their sight. Dr. Bruegman got her
first pair of glasses and contact lenses in the 4th grade, when she
could not read the chalkboard (do they even still make those?)
when asked by her teacher. She then fell in love with the
profession after her first visit to her local Optometrist. She always
knew that she loved science and the medical field, but from that
day forward she felt inspired to become the eye doctor that sat
across the room from her.

Dr. Bruegman enjoys patient’s of all ages and stages of life. More than just vision and ocular health, she wants to know you as a person. She enjoys learning about your sweet family, your unique hobbies and yes, even those adorable fur babies of yours! Trust me, there isn’t a lot that she wouldn’t like to talk about with you!

Dr. Bruegman loves all things family, fall, fitness, fashion and last but certainly not least football. She is an active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Gretna and is always actively looking for ways to become involved and give back to her community. Dr. Bruegman currently resides in Omaha with her husband and two little pumpkins; three if you count their family mascot, Benni, a miniature cream dachshund. While not working she likes to spend time with her family, get in a quick workout, attend country music concerts, and of course cheer on her beloved Huskers- Go Big Red!
