Dr. Corey Langford, O.D.

Dr. Corey Langford started wearing glasses in the first grade after his mother noticed him closing one eye to read—a common coping mechanism for kids with double vision. Many trips to the optometrist throughout his life led Dr. Langford to pursue a career in the field after graduating from Beatrice High School and earning a degree in chemistry from The University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Dr. Langford graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. After graduation, Dr. Langford completed an optional year of training with ophthalmologic specialists in Philadelphia.

Corey and his wife moved to Omaha in 2002 and took over Graves Vision Clinic, which became Omaha Eye Care. In 2008, Dr. Langford merged his practice with Omaha Primary Eye Care. He has been awarded the 2009 Nebraska Young Optometrist of the Year, the 2013 Keyperson of the Year, and the 2018 Optometrist of the Year by the Nebraska Optometric Association. He served as the Nebraska Optometric Association’s president in 2012 and continues to stay actively involved by advocating for improved access to full-scope optometric care for all Nebraskans.

Dr. Langford spends the majority of his free time with his wife and 4 children. He has coached more teams than he can count and still enjoys throwing a round of batting practice. Loud concerts, college visits, sporting events, plays, trap shooting, cheerleading. . . his family has him on the go. The Langfords are members of King of Kings Church where Corey is an avid participant in Peak Challenge, a men’s ministry event centered around climbing Colorado’s highest peaks.

Had a great experience from start to finish here! All the staff was very friendly, Dr Langford was great and did a wonderful job explaining things. I was very impressed with the opticians I worked with in selecting new frames and fitting when I picked them up. Very knowledgeable and helpful. And the office is beautiful! Highly recommend!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Langford’s for many years. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences at Omaha Primary EyeCare and would recommend this clinic to everyone. Their new location is beautiful and they have a great selection of eyeglasses. The staff there are always very helpful at helping pick out glasses.
